Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Centro de Investigación y Seguridad Nacional (México). Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Bad translation

[edit]

It's clear that a bunch of these paragraphs are badly translated from Spanish to English. It would be great if a native speaker of Spanish could assist with the translation as some of the content just doesn't make sense. 49.180.138.58 (talk) 12:51, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

National Security Law section removed

[edit]

I removed this section, as it was incomplete, poorly translated, and was not relevant for this specific article on the CNI/CISEN. If another editor would like to add it back in, I strongly suggest focusing on Article 19 of the Ley de Seguridad Nacional, which refers specifically to the functions of the civilian intelligence agencies as they pertain to national security. The Spanish-language articles for CISEN and CNI list the 11 functions of the intelligence agencies prescribed in the law, and I would suggest translating those 11 bullets into English for inclusion in this English-language article. Attempting to condense and translate 27 pages of text that constitute the Ley de Seguridad Nacional seems overly ambitious and unnecessary for the purposes of this Wiki article on CNI/CISEN.
