WP:SIRS concerns

[edit]

The article is majorly based on Szalavitz and there's some concerns as to their involvement with the organization and as to how independent they're from the org given how close they work with the org. https://harmreduction.org/events/undoing-drugs-panel/ Graywalls (talk) 05:09, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I know Szalavitz has never held a paid or unpaid position with the NHRC so I think she qualifies as "independent" in this context...that she spoke at one of their panels doesn't change that...however it's true that the article would benefit from more sources, maybe someday I'll look for them. WP:WTRMT, then template removal should be held off until then. It's not the number of sources, but the fact it's greatly dependent on ONE source. Graywalls (talk) 15:33, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

HRWG's definition of harm reduction

[edit]

Re[1]: I guess I should count myself lucky that Graywalls hasn't chosen to just blank the article and say "WP:UNDUE, WP:ONUS, get consensus in talk." I think the HRWG's definition of harm reduction will be of interest to readers who are interested in the NHRC. The sourcing is fine. However I'm not going to convince Graywalls of this, because we hate each other. So I'm not going to waste a day pretending it's possible to "get consensus" about this. Maybe someone ten years from now will see this post on the talk page, roll their eyes, and restore this completely anodyne content. Prezbo (talk) 16:04, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
