Architecture

[edit]

This article contains precious little regarding the architecture of the Gallery, which is certainly a major work of its own... Does anyone have any further information behind the design? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 129.94.6.30 (talk) 18:51, 9 November 2006

Here's a page on the gallery's website about the building itself. I suggest JFGI for more resources. --RealGrouchy 19:11, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, an article on the art gallery and no mention on the ridiculously expensive giant spider out front of it? Im surprised. Could someone add a blurb about that? 74.101.96.39 03:44, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Maman is already first on the list of Noted Works. Go take your POV elsewhere. --RealGrouchy 17:43, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pictures

[edit]

Is there some Wikipedia statement about having pictures on the right side of the page? I'm new here, so I'm still learning things, but in my opinion, it looks best if the images are balanced on left and right.

While I'm on the pictures, surely there's something nicer than National_Gallery_of_Canada_from_Parliament_Hill.jpg‎? It's a rather bleak... How does Wikipedia decide these issues on taste? --Ducio1234 (talk) 03:34, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Looking at it again, I imagine my edit of the photo was reverted because it altered the "Collection" heading, which made the page look messy. Sorry about this confusion. --Ducio1234 (talk) 03:56, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Nicer photos may exist, however they must have an appropriate license. If you find such a properly licensed photo, please add one. Flibirigit (talk) 14:16, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Collection

[edit]

"as the painting was no more than three strips of paint." This is POV, and I've removed it. The article mentions Carr and Thompson, and doesn't point out that they are not photorealists, so what is the point of this obviously POV (and debatable at best) qualitative description of Newman's work? Value judgments about the art the gallery houses have no more place in this article than similar judgments anywhere else on Wikipedia. Sigma-6 (talk) 21:35, 30 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
