Azumanga1 puts forward that National Christian network should be merged with FamilyNet. I am not so certain that that's the case.
Are the details of the history of the network, for instance, relevant to FamilyNet, a currently operating network? Yes, as a foundation for the history of the network and it's ownership, but No regarding goals in programming and purpose. The channel has had four owners, who possibly had very different goals for the network. What We've got here is the basics, the background. But a lot of it is clutter when you are trying to talk about a real network, one that is operational today. Not that the information doesn't belong on Wikipedia, just that it doesn't belong in the FamilyNet article.
I suspect that there's probably a lot more that can be written about National Christian Network, the Liberty Broadcasting Network, Jerry Falwell's FamilyNet, and the Southern Baptist version of the same, It's just not a line of research that I've been able to tackle. Actually, the references that are listed came from researching two other articles, American Christian Television System and Vision Interfaith Satellite Network. Previously, Wikipedia had treated them as if they were almost the same network [1], which they weren't. Let's not make the same mistakes here. Dan, the CowMan (talk) 02:05, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
