[edit]I just uploaded a number of photos from the 2006 Cherry Blossoms. Gallery -- These photos primarily include the Tidal Basin, Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, FDR Memorial, and National Mall. If you have any specific requests for images, just leave a message on my Talk page I should be able to get those by mid-June. Provide as much detail as you can for what you are looking for in the image. --Thisisbossi 04:32, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
Cultivar Confusion
[edit]While this entry treats Fugenzo and Shirofungen as separate cherry cultivars, the Prunus serrulata entry treats the two as different names referring to a single cultivar.
The National Park Service considers these to be two separate cultivars (https://web.archive.org/web/20231124023557/https://www.nps.gov/subjects/cherryblossom/types-of-trees.htm). However reputable Japanese (Classification and Morphological Identification of Cherry Blossoms. Toshio Katsuki (2017), and other (https://landscapeplants.oregonstate.edu/plants/prunus-serrulata-shiro-fugen, https://www.keele.ac.uk/media/k-microsites/k-arboretum/downloads/Prunus_Fugenzo.pdf) sources consider them to be a single cultivar. 31.182.203.125 (talk) 11:59, 3 December 2023 (UTC)
