Who is Pierce?
[edit]At the risk of being obvious, you can't name someone obliquely in a scholarly article without identifying them. In section Early life, at top, who is Dr. Pierce? Identify him, and hyperlink it to the Wiki article on him. If that doesn't exist, create it.

Ditto Burlington
[edit]In section Family, you mention Burlington, not giving the state. Two sentences later, you provide the complete form, Burlington, Massachusetts. Taken literally, to me that means that the 2nd Burlington is the Mass. town and the first one not.
Again, at the risk of . . . , invert that. And hyperlink only the 1st mention of Burlington, the complete one.
