[edit]After 4 appearances for the first team does he get a championship medal? Usually it's 10 games, maybe should wait until the end of the season to see if he actually achieves one. Salty1984 (talk) 13:20, 13 March 2021 (UTC)
Played in Scottish Challenge Cup for Rangers u21 side.
[edit]I have done some research and found that Patterson played for Glasgow Rangers U21 side in the Scottish Challenge Cup against the first sides of Wrexham, Inverness CT, Ballymena United, and Solihull Moors in the Scottish Challenge Cup. These Scottish Challenge Cup matches are counted for some players as proper matches. As it is a trophy for first team sides with U21 teams of the Scottish Premier added on. I do not know how many times Patterson played for Rangers U21 in the Scottish Challenge Cup that season. But he played at least five matches by my research. Maybe someone could so some research on this issue. As it was an important part of his development as a player.
Here is a link where there is evidence Patterson played the match of Rangers U21 v Wrexham. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50380313
This bbc page also seems to indicate he played against Solihull Moors in the same trophy, https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50229280
Plus this link indicates he played against Inverness CT in the semi-final defeat. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51466541
Plus this link indicates Patterson played against Ballymena United in the Scottish Challenge Cup. https://www.skysports.com/football/ballymena-united-vs-rangers-u21/teams/420175
Rangers U21 also played Stranraer and Berwick Rangers in the trophy that season.
- You're correct, but you could have saved yourself quite a bit of bother: those are all listed on Soccerway here. Feel free to add it to the stats table and/or text if you like, if not I'll get round to it at some point. Crowsus (talk) 22:54, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
