not in BC Names under either name
[edit]I just tried to find it; no Nashwito Creek or Siwash Creek near Vernon; copying my edit comment "just tried to find this, or a Siwash Creek, in BC names; not there; though there are four other Siwash Creeks (two in the Fraser Canyon, one in the northern Monashees, and the one nearer Princeton"Skookum1 (talk) 11:47, 1 August 2013 (UTC)
- If no such creek exists under this name then we could tag it with Template:Db-hoax or the milder Template:Hoax. I am going to look at Google and see if I can find it anywhere.--Canoe1967 (talk) 18:46, 1 August 2013 (UTC)
- http://aris.empr.gov.bc.ca/ArisReports/19100.PDF found it mentioned a few times in this pdf. "The Nash property is located in the Vernon mining division, situated on Nashwito Creek which drains into Okanagan Lake, approximately 20 kilometres west of Vernon, British Columbia. The claims cover a total area of 61.5 square kilometres, and are centered at latitude 50 18' and longitude 119 32'."
- http://gpex.ca/smf/index.php?topic=10877.0;wap2 blog post that claims its alt name is Siwash.--Canoe1967 (talk) 19:01, 1 August 2013 (UTC)
