they sold land to Jews, but it's ignored in this article

[edit]

I was surprised to see that one of the Nashishibi's most important contributions to society was completely ignored in the article. The family is well-known for selling thousands of acres of land to Jews in the 19th & 20th centuries. Much of this land was comprised of swamps that were later drained as well as Farmland. After 1948 Jordan & Egypt stole some of this land to illegally occupy it for 19 years. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.53.153.140 (talk) 10:32, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nashashibis sold land to Jewish pioneers.

[edit]

Why isn't there a single paragraph about their real estate deals in the 1800's-1900's. The family sold land at $1000 per acre to Jewish families. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1013:B028:F81D:B216:F2B0:D625:F5CD (talk) 18:08, 28 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Nashashibi-Husseini rivalry

[edit]

It avoids mentioning that when there were disputes which had some kind of resolution during the British Mandate period, then most of the time the Nashashibis lost (starting with the appointment of a Husseini as mufti of Jerusalem). AnonMoos (talk) 21:39, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
