[edit]"Amazon.com allows fans to listen to a short clip of I Will Possess Your Heart here." This page worked yesterday (3/8/08), but today you can't even find it on Amazon without clicking the link, and even when you do, you can no longer listen to it. Was this an accident? If it was, I'm glad I got to hear Ben's voice before we should have. Shrips (talk) 22:54, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
The same thing happened with Nine In The Afternoon, by Panic(!) At The Disco,, it was put up as a sample, then taken down. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.163.127.129 (talk) 17:49, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
imeem clip
[edit]The issue is that Amazon accidentally released it too early, and later took it down which means that the preview is not meant to be available to the general public. As this essentially means that Death Cab has not given permission for it to be released yet, and there is no statement of fair use for the clip on the imeem page in question, it's a violation of their copyright. See Wikipedia:Copyrights#Linking_to_copyrighted_works. I'm not going to get into an edit war over this, but I hope someone else removes it as it does not seem appropriate. Anyone looking for it will be able to find it anyway. -- Naerii · plz create stuff 21:26, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
- agreed, and I have conceded and the links to the clip have been removed from this site as well as Death Cab for Cutie and Narrow Stairs.--Niro87 (talk) 22:28, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
- I see, and now totally agree. Thank you for clearing that up. Shrips (talk) 04:15, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
Artwork
[edit]The (assumedly) official cover artwork is now available on iTunes with the pre-order (US store only, as far as I can tell - unfortunately).
which is this: File:NarrowStairs.png
I'm not sure of copyright issues with this though, so if anyone sees any, please take it down

Track Listing
[edit]I edited in the listings from my version of the album it seems to be the same for "I Will Possess Your Heart" Just contact me with any issues. jrabbit05 (talk) 22:29, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
UK Release
[edit]Amazon.co.uk says that the album is released on the 12th May in the UK. Maybe this should be put in the article somewhere? Amazon.co.uk - Narrow Stairs Alexdeangelis86 18:10, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Cleaned up the Page
[edit]I didn't think all the info about leakage of the album and all of the colloquial concomitants were really neccessary, so I cleaned it up. Fix whatever you want. Hakeem (talk) 07:45, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Critical Reception
[edit]Just wondering, is it fair to say Pitchfork Media gave it a "positive review?" 6.0 isn't that good from Pitchfork, and the review itself is very lukewarm. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.121.75.99 (talk) 22:49, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
Came in here to make the same point. That section needs to be reworked; we've got one graph that says critics' thoughts, and then two saying 'all of these sources gave the album good reviews.' Not only is that untrue in some of the cases (at least Pitchfork and Mojo, looking at the ratings they gave it), but it's also kind of pointless - we've got a long list of reviews in the box. Reviews
[edit]There are far too many reviews in the infobox. I have randonly removed a large number...this is the original list, feel free to swap, but do NOT add more than 10 (OK, I know I left 11, but I can't count!). Read this Wikipedia:WikiProject_Albums#Professional_reviews

- Note: I've modified the listings above to use {{rating}} instead of the deprecated rating-# templates, which are eventually going to be deleted. Any problems arising from this are my fault. — Gavia immer (talk) 18:12, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
