Contested deletion

Tagging the article for "speedy deletion" less than an hour after its creation is "speedy" indeed. Surely, I can have some time to add to it? Homo Huamanguensis (talk) 08:07, 14 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Admins will usually wait several hours before deleting non-vandalism article but generally it's best to cite a few reliable references when creating new articles, the article in your own user namespace or sandbox and then move it to the main article space once it meets Wikipedia's guidelines.
