[edit]Just a word of caution really for future contributors - there was an American actress by the name of Nanci Price who worked for a few years 1928-1931 as far as I can tell and appeared in The Public Enemy, Caught Short, Three Live Ghosts, In Gay Madrid, The Doctor's Secret, The Broken Mask and The Girl in the Snow. Sometimes these films appear in lists attributed to Nancy Price the English actress. Best wishes Excellentone 15:51, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
Notes on current version
[edit]- Filmographies should probably be updated according to Wikipedia:WikiProject Actors and Filmmakers#Filmography
- Possible template(s) {{actors}}
- Any pictures/images? Most would be 'free' at this point.
- Possible sections:
- Early life - pre-theatre
- Final years / death
- Any critical commentary on her work
- Awards, civil accolades, etc?
- Working relationship with any film companies? British International Pictures Studio? Gainsborough Pictures?
- Wikilinks need to be checked (2 go to a disambig page) SkierRMH (talk) 00:25, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
photos for this article
[edit]If I had my way this article would feature the Bassano photo of Nancy as India in Elgar's Imperial Masque in the first Infobox: http://www.flickr.com/photos/32348795@N05/3237592867/in/pool-httpwwwflickrcomgroups661634n24/#/photos/32348795@N05/3237592867/in/pool-661634@N24/
I would then use the picture of Nancy as Calypso by Charles Buchel to illustrate the theatre career section: http://collections.vam.ac.uk/item/O85216/painting-nancy-price-as-calypso-in/
move the promotional picture of the Three Weird sisters to illustrate the section on Film career and find a shot from the television version of Whiteoaks to illustrate the television section. If anyone can help me to do this I would be delighted.81.108.21.109 (talk) 17:00, 29 December 2010 (UTC)

Theatre reviews
[edit]Not sure how to work this into the article but found the following review of Nancy's performance in And That's the Truth! (1925 Lyric, Hammersmith Theatre): "Miss Nancy Price's Signora is tenderly pathetic and suggests the mental infirmity of the poor harassed woman much more successfully than her Italian predecessor's." The Times, September 26th, 1925. Excellentone (talk) 15:13, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
This review is also quoted in Claude Rains: an actor's voice By David J. Skal, Jessica Rains http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=HF6seodfeBcC&lpg=PT217&dq=nancy%20price&pg=PT67#v=onepage&q=nancy%20price&f=false — Preceding unsigned comment added by Excellentone (talk • contribs) 08:07, 11 September 2011 (UTC)
Review of The High Hand with Nancy Price appearing as Helen Rathbone appears in Punch Volume 146 pp 156 "Miss NANCY PRICE'S Helen was a very probable performance. For myself I found her a little too minx-eyed for my taste" — Preceding unsigned comment added by Excellentone (talk • contribs) 08:28, 11 September 2011 (UTC)

Animals
[edit]Plenty to be written about Nancy's work as an animal activist and campaigner - interesting story I came across that Nancy was offered a part in the Broadway production of Silver Box but turned it down because of the quarantine laws and the consequent time spent away from her Pekinese : http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/38523059?searchTerm=&searchLimits=l-title=Western+Mail+%28P...%7Ctitleid%3A101%7C%7C%7Cfromyyyy=1931%7C%7C%7Cfrommm=09%7C%7C%7Cfromdd=17%7C%7C%7Ctoyyyy=1931%7C%7C%7Ctomm=12%7C%7C%7Ctodd=17%7C%7C%7Cl-illustrated=Illustrated%7Canyillustrations%3Ay
listed in this article as Actress and her dog. Excellentone (talk) 11:37, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
Peoples National Theatre
[edit]Much to be said about the work Nancy Price did at the Peoples National Theatre. There is an angle possibly on the type of plays she chose to produce - for example Salome - discussed in Irish playwrights, 1880-1995: a research and production sourcebook by Bernice Schrank and William W. Demastes http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=Z5D5npRYiqYC&lpg=PA382&dq=nancy%20price&pg=PA382#v=onepage&q=nancy%20price&f=false
and Clifford Bax's The Rose Without a thorn - which is mentioned in Twentieth-century English history plays: from Shaw to Bond by Niloufer Harben http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=_7zj21PcB4EC&lpg=PA84&dq=nancy%20price&pg=PA84#v=onepage&q=nancy%20price&f=false
