Cyclopropane vs propene as well
[edit]The article mentions the ketone of naloxone being replaced with a methylene for greater binding affinity but kind of implies that's the only substitution (though it doesn't say it out right). There's clearly a difference between a cyclopropane and propene substituent as well, hanging off the Nitrogen. What's the significance of this? Should this be made clearer in the text comparing the two drugs (at least to mention the additional difference). 88.145.11.241 (talk) 01:26, 3 October 2014 (UTC)
Flag content in the side effect section of the nalmefene page
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
I would like to flag content in the side effect section of the nalmefene page. The source of the current side effects text is: Nalmefene Hydrochloride Drug Information. The document is stamped 'ARCHIVED: content may be obsolete'
Correct information is on the European Medicines Agency page on nalmefene (Selincro) under 'What is the risk associated with Selincro?' More detail is available on the same page in product information in the summary of product characteristics (see Annex I - Summary of product characteristics, section 4.8). reference checked and text on wiki page corrected
In addition, in the approvals section, suggest to add the following: Lundbeck received the European marketing authorization for Selincro for reduction of alcohol consumption in adult patients with alcohol dependence who have a high drinking risk level, without physical withdrawal symptoms and who do not require immediate detoxification (see Annex I - Summary of product characteristics, section 4.1). [1] Reference checked and text added to wiki page
