Tomlin MP 1914-18?
[edit]The owners of the land and of Orwell Park where originally Tomline, not Tomlin however there was not apparently a Tomline s as MP in 1914-18. It might be worth reviewing "Colonel" George Tomline and Ernest George Pretyman.
- Qexigator notes PeterIto's remark of 17 January 2009, and that ' Mr Tomlin MP' was first mentioned by Postern's edit of 17:07, 17 December 2005. The story is worth recording, and Postern's other contributions here seem to be consistent with local knowledge, but Qexigator has added a sentence as a caution for veracity, pending any better information from other sources.Qexigator (talk) 07:51, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
