"Fringe" is not NPOV, use "spin-off"

As I said on the Na Nach Nachma discussion page: To call something a "fringe group" is to disparage it as not important, unworthy, a bunch of crazies, etc. It is a value judgement that does not belong here. A "spin-off," on the other hand, is neutral, as for example, Deep Space Nine is a spin-off from the original Star Trek series. "Spin-off" indicates that something is a branching-off from the original but without the negative connotations of "fringe." I think we can agree that since Reb Odesser, "revealer" of this mantra, was himself a respected Breslov leader in his day, that the current movement is a spin-off from mainstream Breslov. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rooster613 (talk • contribs) 14:33, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As I wrote on Talk:Na_Nach_Nachma_Nachman_Meuman#.22Fringe.22_is_not_NPOV, fringe and spinoff are POV and offensive and I appreciate and commend people using NPOV terms like subgroup, song, name, phrase. Thank you. Nissimnanach (talk) 01:33, 28 May 2010 (UTC)Nissimnanach[reply]
