Does anyone know who N Brown was? Dormskirk (talk) 20:48, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Think you will find it was the name of a shell company that Sir David acquired (with family?). If the person did exist, then I doubt they had any subsequent connection with the company. I seem to remember reading (internal magazine article) the name was adopted as it was more english sounding. --Keith 14:13, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks for answering the question Dormskirk (talk) 21:40, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I worked for the company (JDW) from 1974 to 76, and still have connections there, so I contribute with an interest. The wording may seem odd on the transition period 1963-1970 but the 2 sets of references differ (!) I prefer to stick with the company version --Keith 23:02, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Information requiring update

There is some out of date information on the page - please can you consider making the following updates:

- Ron McMillan is Chair of N Brown and was appointed in March 2021 https://www.nbrown.co.uk/about-us/board-and-management/n-brown-group-board#ron-mcmilan - Updated revenue figures can be found here https://www.nbrown.co.uk/~/media/Files/N/N-Brown/press-releases/2022/full-year-results-fy22.pdf - N Brown no longer operates any stores so the opening line in the Stores section implies it does. - Figleaves was merged into Simply Be in 2021 (Locations section refers to Figleaves being based in Welwyn Garden City) - HIgh & Mighty, Julipa and House of Bath have been merged into N Brown's other retail brands https://www.nbrown.co.uk/~/media/Files/N/N-Brown/press-releases/2020/first-half-results-2020.pdf 213.122.174.105 (talk) 10:20, 13 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
