Merge into NUTS statistical regions of the United Kingdom?
[edit]This article isn't expanding on NUTS statistical regions of the United Kingdom, which lists NUTS 1, 2 and 3 of the UK. I don't see any way this article could be expanded either due to the limited scope. The alternative is to split NUTS statistical regions of the United Kingdom in three articles, but I don't think that would be helpful. Rob984 (talk) 12:42, 31 August 2016 (UTC)
- Keep It's part of an EU-wide tree structure. Laurel Lodged (talk) 18:45, 30 March 2017 (UTC)
- Laurel Lodged, an incomplete one. Say you want to now go on and see the NUTS 3 regions, you have to go back to the broader article, NUTS statistical regions of the United Kingdom (which lists all NUTS 1, 2 and 3 regions). That article does such a good job at showing all three levels, I don't see why we need multiple articles. Coming to this article tells you LESS about NUTS 2 regions then the wider article, because you can't see the the NUTS 3 regions they are subdivided into, and it also doesn't have the maps. Having articles for the sake of having articles, which do nothing to inform readers, is pointless no? Rob984 (talk) 13:48, 6 April 2017 (UTC)
- The only other country with such an article is the Republic of Ireland. Rob984 (talk) 12:58, 4 September 2017 (UTC)
- Merge I agree with Rob984. Honestly, I don't see NUTS 2 & 3 of the UK being notable enough to have their own articles. The ONLY reason NUTS 1 of the UK kind of has its own (within the article for First Level NUTS of the European Union) is because that article contains information for all the countries/nations within the EU (even though the UK will no longer reside within the EU as of March 2019 because of Brexit). 2602:304:CEBF:8650:5D83:CD97:3581:B294 (talk) 02:42, 1 August 2017 (UTC)
