Erroneous Engine Exhaust Reference

[edit]

The previous version of this article stated that NOTAR rotorcraft use airflow directed from the engine exhaust to combat torque reaction. If NOTAR systems used engines to produce the airflow, they would lose all yaw control in the event of engine failure. NOTAR rotorcraft use a fan driven by the main rotor transmission to produce the required airflow - my changes reflect this.

Dispute within article text

[edit]

There is a dispute in the text of the article that needs resolution: The "Disadvantages" section claims a problem with control at high airspeeds, while the paragraph ending the "Use" section says that is inaccurate. Resolving this sort of thing is what the talk page is for, guys! --72.70.13.114 (talk) 00:51, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disadvantages

[edit]

Should there not be a disadvantages section? The technology isn't completely Infallible. Issues such as efficiency and control at high airspeed have been mentioned on some websites. FitzyJ (talk) 08:19, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
