Virgo cluster membership
[edit]Given that NGC 4261 lies at a distance of 100 Mly, it lies about double the distance from Virgo Cluster. The source just mentions that is "listed as a member (VCC 345) of the Virgo Cluster". The atlas of the universe also mentions it as a member of the Virgo Cluster. But Garcia 1993 mentions that it is part of LGG 278. Makarov places the galaxy at the vicinity of the Virgo Cluster, but on its own group (NGC 4261 group). C messier (talk) 18:22, 7 July 2023 (UTC)
