Copy-edited
[edit]Checked and copy-edited it today. ThisIsAce 23:16, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
I reworked the layout of the ABOUT THE FILM section today. Looks a lot better now - Lacoby 7 April 07
Well I finally have to mention something here: There has been ongoing editing on this article. A big one happend today(and it won't be the last one). Basically the whole plot section was redone. Maybe a result of the NEEDS EDITING label that was added to the article. So although there might be some controversy arrising from how the aricle (or parts of it) there is no entry here in the discussion board. I wonder if it has any sense at all if nobody wants to discuss his/her editing in here. If I would rework a whole section of an article I would certainly at least describe my editing and argue why I did it. By the way: The last editing may have formulated some parts in a clearer way. Still many things were shortened. I do not know if taking content away makes things clearer... - LACOBY 20 January 07
In the "memorable quotes" section "lawyer was changes for "liar", which is wrong for sure. Liar would not make sense and IMDB also quotes "lawyer" (see: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0382189/quotes). I changed it back to "lawyer".

Well I am perfectly fine with syntax corrections and structure improvements (though I think this film related article has a better structure than a lot of the other film articles on wiki), but to say that this article, as it is now, is POV-ish is not really justifyable. I removed the "beatiful" from the sentence mentioned below (the sentence was written by myself and influenced by an interview one of the crew gave), because I completely agree that it is POV, but "About the film", "Trivia" and "Plot" are really not POV-ish anymore. Everything written there is either fact, or backed by a quotation. Or does anyone spot POV in "CAST" or "Memorable Quotes"?
So "rewriting" really does not help, but additional contribution. And if there might be a POV suspicion somewhere - here is the place to discuss it.
By the way: It was not really necessary to add all the h's to Natalie. In the German press Release (available at www.my-summer-of-love.de) Natalie Press says that she added the h at one point just to be special. So both names exist, but her true name is Natalie. - Lacoby 23 July 06
I think this page is horribly POV-ish. I don't care or know enough about the movie to rewrite it myself, but someone needs to do it... stuff like 'So he decided to integrate it into the movie and made a beautiful scene out of it'. Is it really an objective encyclopaedia entry's duty to decide whether or not a scene is 'beautiful'? Some sentence structure, syntax etc could also be cleaned up. - James, 08 July 06
Added a new section today: This article definitely needed a CAST section! Lacoby, 8. May 2006
Added some to About the Film including a nice quote by Pawlikowski. And some to Trivia. By the way: Does anyone know how old Natalie Press or Emily Blunt are? I found it hard to get information about that. I only read that Press is arround 24(!!!) now, but sources are not reliable. I hope someone can help me out. Lacoby, 3. May 2006
After the last paragraph of the section About the Film was basically removed and considered POV, I added two quotes to show that it was not POV, but just badly formulated or integrated by me. I am sorry for that, but what I have contributed to this article so far always was backed by quotes or interviews of participants of the film. Sometimes they were in German, so that I could not include them directly. Lacoby, 25. April 2006
Today I added a new section: Memorable Quotes.
Feel free to add some! Lacoby, 24. April 2006
Today I added 2 sections to the article: 1.- About the film and 2.- Trivia. All the informations i put in reflect hours of reading reviews, press handouts and watching the movie several times. Lacoby, 15. April 2006
Hello Kembla. Thank you for your additions. The plot works out even nicer now. And thank you for correcting my mistakes. I am not an English native speaker so I tend to make some mistakes. But just one thing: In the first meeting of Mona and Tamsin in Tamsin's Mansion Tamsin does not cry when she talks about Sadie. This happens later on when Mona is posing in Sadie's dresses. I corrected that. By the way I will continue to work on that article and add some more sections. So your remarks and corrections are always welcome. But what a great film, isn't it? Lacoby 14 April 2006
Hello. Made some changes to the article. Just saw the DVD last night. Was moved enough to want to find out more. Then decided to wade in and make some changes to the article. My first attempts at contributing anything at wikipedia (that's probably obvious). Hope I didn't do anything to annoy anyone too much. Kembla 04:14, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
Awards section
[edit]I've added the awards section, with references, if anyone feels like converting the prose into a table, please go ahead. Veritas Omnia Vincit (talk) 15:02, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
Piece of Music
[edit]Hello. Does anyone know what peice of music Tamsin plays for Mona on her cello? Thank you. (Galaxycat (talk) 20:51, 9 July 2012 (UTC))
