A good deal of the time, when an school book review of a children's book appears in Wikipedia, the book is actually famous, or at least very well known. This is because such books are the ones assigned or suggested by teachers and librarians, and displayed prominently in libraries. It's always worth a check, at least to see if the author is in Wikipedia!
Just for the fun of it, i decided not just to stop this one from deletion, but to rewrite it in a simpler but clearer way, and add some of the references and a good web site. There are a few dozen published reviews as well, and various other good material, judging only from the googles (Google News archive is particularly useful in finding newspaper reviews), but I leave that to others.
