My Life as a Courgette → My Life as a Zucchini – This is the English Wikipedia, the film was actually released with that name, and that's what's on the poster in the article. ―Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 16:20, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:ENGVAR, MOS:TIES, and MOS:RETAIN. This is a European film, that's why we use British spellings and the DMY format in the article. It has even been released as My Life as a Courgette in the UK, so the proposer's reasoning doesn't hold true to begin with. Nardog (talk) 18:34, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose for similar reason found at Talk:Blue Is the Warmest Colour#Requested move. Erik (talk | contrib) (ping me) 19:14, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:ENGVAR, MOS:TIES, and MOS:RETAIN stick with European title. In ictu oculi (talk) 21:44, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose per all the above. While the poster has the Zucchini title, that can be/is misleading, as different posters are released in different parts of the world, and in itself is not a WP:RS to determine the title. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 07:04, 21 July 2017 (UTC)
- Support. I am surprised by the views above. Per WP:COMMONNAME, the "Zucchini" title is clearly the most widely used in English sources (movie reviews, etc.). Are there even English-language sources that use "Courgette"? Besides, the "national ties" argument is weak, because this is a Swiss film, and "courgette" is indeed how this vegetable is called in French-speaking Switzerland, but in German-speaking Switzerland it's ... zucchini. - Sandstein https://www.theguardian.com/film/2017/jun/02/my-life-as-a-courgette-review-stop-motion-animation <- pathetic little island with negligible population, but yes there are English speaking sources for Courgette. Even US Variety magazine uses the British/Irish/Indian title. http://variety.com/2017/film/global/producers-director-my-life-as-a-courgette-cartoon-movie-1202006945/ I'm guessing that Australia will go with N America? - FYI from the Wikipedia article zucchini: "Zucchini (American English) or courgette (British English) is a summer squash which can..." — AjaxSmack 00:12, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose per above. "English Wikipedia" does not equal "American Wikipedia". Ribbet32 (talk) 03:30, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose and use the original release poster as proposed at #Propose we replace US poster with Europe original below, for all the reasons given above. Andrewa (talk) 04:21, 29 July 2017 (UTC)

Propose we replace US poster with Europe original
[edit]Waiting on result of above, but result seems pretty clear already. Any objections? In ictu oculi (talk) 10:55, 21 July 2017 (UTC) http://www.showfilmfirst.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/ma_vie_de_courgette-637498614-large.jpg
- Per WP:FILMPOSTER - "Ideally, an image of the film's original theatrical release poster should be uploaded and added to the infobox to serve as an identifying image for the article", so that can happen anyway. Just upload it over the current file-name. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 11:13, 21 July 2017 (UTC)
- Has this happened yet? Jbryant91 (talk) 19:18, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
- Doesn't look like it. Be bold and upload the image at File:My Life as a Zucchini.jpg Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 19:23, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
- Done. Although I don't know if it's the original poster. The filename could probably do with a change also. Jbryant91 (talk) 23:32, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks - nice work! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 08:53, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
