Details

[edit]
Lead
  • "taken from the former's sixth studio album"..... keep it simple, Aguilera's sixth studio album
  • "track talks about female empowerment"..... maybe go into more detail on this
Recording and Composition
  • Remove "co-writer of 'My Girls'" from "While talking with Rolling Stone Brazil, co-writer of 'My Girls', JD Samson, revealed"
  • Per WP:OVERCITE, ref#2 shouldn't be used more than once in a row within a paragraph- just use it once after "Beverly Hills, California".
  • Is there not enough detail to extend "recording" or "composition" with an additional paragraph or so for each? That way, they could warrant separate sections.....
  • Unlink Rolling Stone in ref#8 as it is already linked within ref#1
Critical reception
  • The Scotsman should be italicized
  • Link Greg Kot
  • use "authorlink" parameter to link authors within refs
Personnel
  • These writers don't seem to match the ones listed in the infobox, please be consistent
Charts
  • Anymore detail available?
References
  • So far, the only reliable third-party references used in this article only mention this song in brief or are from album reviews. In its current state, this doesn't meet WP:NSONGS- to be notable, songs must have significant coverage from reliable third-party sources independent of their albums. Sorry, but album reviews don't count as notable coverage. Unless good third-party refs with significant coverage outside of album reviews can be found, this song I'm afraid won't be able to warrant its own article.

Warning: , you've done well with everything except the concern with song coverage outside of album reviews. Unless such sources can be added, I will have to fail this due to lack of notability per WP:NSONGS by July 19th. SNUGGUMS (talk · contribs) 15:23, 12 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sadly, I can't find any third party sources. Simon (talk) 15:22, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
If you can't find any good third-party coverage outside of album reviews, , just know that in addition to the GAN failing, this article shall be redirected to Bionic. Restore if significant third-party coverage outside of album reviews (reliable refs, of course) can be found, and multiple sources of the sort would be needed. Are you absolutely certain that this cannot be found? SNUGGUMS (talk · contribs) 22:55, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I'm certain. I'm quite disappointed about this GAN, too, but obviously, this article just fails WP:NSONGS. Thank you for taking time! Simon (talk) 03:52, 15 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, and, you can have a look at all of Bionic song articles, to see which should be deleted. As far as I can see, "Elastic Love" and "Bionic" are the only articles that has multiple third-party sources. Cheers, Simon (talk) 03:54, 15 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
While redirecting and deleting are different things, I'll take a look later on. I appreciate your efforts for this, and am now going to close this now as unsuccessful. You're quite welcome for the time, and I very much understand your disappointment. SNUGGUMS (talk · contribs) 15:30, 15 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
