Year (1946, 1947)

[edit]

This article contradicts itself; is the year 1946 or 1947? Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film lists it for 1946 category; Woody Woodpecker filmography has it under 1947. I checked The Encyclopedia of Animated Cartoons and it states 1947. A Celebration of Animation however lists it with the date 1946 (it's a bit unclear and may refer to the award). 1947 seems correct, as Google Book confirms it is a date commonly given for this short (also here's an entry from a 1947 Catalog of Copyright Entries. But then how come it could be nominated for the 1947 awards, a year before it was even relesed? Our article right now states "is a 1946 produced Musical Miniature cartoon" that was released in 1947, but provides no reference for the 1946 production date. This is confusing and warrants a note for the readers, a referenced one of course, explaining the 1946 issue (for production and award) when contrasted with the 1947 release date.
