Reviewer: Judgesurreal777 (talk) 20:22, 14 November 2009 (UTC) Sorry for the delay, I have been busy with real life making money stuff :) Here is what I noticed;[reply]

  • I read all about this catchy tune to the game series, and how its as significant as Mario's theme, but no sample of the tune?
  • IGN was "dismissive", but it sounds like they were more ambivalent or disapproving, since they didn't attack it per se.
  • I'm just curious, what is the reliability of Dengeki Online and Square Enix Music and PALGN?
  • Finally, I notice that a theme runs through the article of the artist attempting to make the music more diverse by adding non-Japanese artists, but we lose the trail a little bit in the later albums of his efforts. If you find anything else on that point add it in, it creates a good narrative flow for the article.
  • Respond to those points, and it should be good to get through GA. For A class or FA, I would recommend a copyedit (always recommend that) and a final hunt for more material.

Excellent work! Judgesurreal777 (talk) 02:05, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, here we go.
  • Thanks for the suggestion; it was my first time making a .ogg clip, but I think it really helps the article to have it.
  • I agree, I was thinking of dismissive in a more mild sense, but that's not the way it's coming across. fixed.
  • Dengeki Online - the internet version of Dengeki PlayStation, a Japanese gaming magazine. Now linked in the ref.
Square Enix Music Online - let me copypaste something in here. Independent music review/news site (not affiliated with Square Enix itself) - about page says that they have "achieved critical acclaim from famous composers, eminent producers, and industry sites", a claim that is backed up by their interviews page, listing interviews they have done with notable people such as Yasunori Mitsuda, Yoko Shimomura, Hiroki Kikuta, and Thomas Boecker, producer of the Symphonic Game Music Concert series. Their submissions guidelines are here, in which they specifically say that they edit all reviews for factual accuracy (also, spelling).
PALGN - largest independent PAL region/Australian gaming news/reviews site; (about), everything that goes up is reviewed or written by a paid staff member (disclaimer)
  • I tried to expand a bit on this in the "Katamari Forever" section; it doesn't really apply to "Me and My" or "Beautiful" as they were reusing a lot of music / Miyake wasn't involved as much, which is why he describes the first two games and "Forever" as a "musical trilogy".
Alright, anything else? --PresN 18:48, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
