Expanding this article

As it stands, this article heavily overlaps part of the Music hall article. It should either should be folded back into that article, or expanded to cover other forms of music and in countries outside of Britain. An article to look at for comparison's sake is Role of music in World War II. --Hobbes Goodyear (talk) 03:25, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
