How could the Buddha have come to Sri Lanka in 3000BC when he was alive in the 600BC era?!123.255.38.129 (talk) 06:05, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
- It's false according to sources I can find, and the history of Buddhism isn't really relevant to the subject of music anyway. I deleted that paragraph, replaced it with a sentence about Buddihsm influence on music, wikilinked it to Buddhism in Sri Lanka, and removed the error tag. ~Amatulić (talk) 16:39, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
- Its now much better, cheers 123.255.38.129 (talk) 15:04, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
Where is Dr. Premasiri Khemadasa ???
nothing about traditional Sri Lankan music
This article is really about the origins of Sri Lankan POPULAR MUSIC. It does not cover the religious drumming which is an important part of Sri Lankan music, religion & culture. I hope you can find someone who knows more about the subject than I to add a needed element to this article.
== A Little and the monkay is the man religion in sri Lanka.... anddxdcfuck youaspects (though the Baila aspects in it were quite thorough) I updated it with a little about Sri Lankan drumming. Hopefully in time either (a) I will know more and be able to add more, or (b) someone else will soon know more and be able to add more.
As for the Baila info, though, thanks a lot!!
