GA Reassessment
[edit]Article (edit | visual edit | history) · Article talk (edit | history) · Watch
This article received GA status in November 2007, almost a decade ago. Back in those days, the criteria for upgrading something as a GA (let alone an FA) were a lot more lax than they have since become. The editor who nominated the article at the time, User:Kbthompson, has since passed on. As it stands, the article does not meet the GA criteria. Approximately half of the article is totally unreferenced. Of the rest of the article, many of the references are poor and some may not count as WP:Reliable Sources. Large portions of the article appear to be basically lists of WP:Trivia. An awful lot of work would have to go in to make this article GA-worthy. Hopefully someone will be able to do so in the near future, but as for now, the appropriate course of action would be to remove the GA listing. I will leave this open for a week to see if there is anyone willing to put in that considerably amount of work over the next few weeks. If not, I'll delist it. - Midnightblueowl, please be sure to notify any recent major contributors to the article (say, within the past two or three years) and any related WikiProjects that you have begun this reassessment, per the GAR instructions, so they have that initial week to get involved if they wish. Thank you very much. BlueMoonset (talk) 00:02, 3 June 2017 (UTC)
A week has gone by and there has been no response. I'll go ahead and de-list the article as a GA. Midnightblueowl (talk) 15:19, 9 June 2017 (UTC)
