Article scope and title change
[edit]Currently, the article exclusively covers the intersection of music and Black liberation in the context of the United States. I would tentatively propose that this should be expanded to include coverage of musical intersections with Black politics in other countries as well (such as reggae in Jamaica, the role of various musical styles in African anti-colonial movements, etc.). Alternatively, we can retitle this article to explicitly be about the US.
Regardless, I think we should also reconsider the title's wording. Going by search results on Google Scholar, "Black liberation" appears to be a much more commonly used term for emancipatory movements in the African diaspora (24k hits vs. 6k), which would lead me to argue that "Music and Black liberation" is a more appropriate title. Even if we reject this rewording, "Freedom Struggle" should be made lowercase to comply with guidelines at WP:MOS. signed, Rosguill talk 21:20, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
