Redundant
[edit]64.94.211.4 18:59, 9 August 2006 (UTC)Isn't this a bit redundant with the main Muse (band) article? Any particular reason this as been forked out as a separate article while the information still appears int the main article? Just curious because the main article isn't all that long.--Isotope23 18:52, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- Well, it doesn't seem as redundant now,as the Discography in the main article has been cut down to the albm releases with a link to this page, which i far more fleshed out. AllySDude 22:01, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
More Singles
[edit]There are a lot more Muse singles than listed in this discography. What about songs like Jimmy Kane, Pink Ego Box, and Crying Shame to name a few?
They weren't singles, they were B-sides to singles. Karma Llama 17:39, 20 August 2006 (UTC)g
Dead Star/In Your World
[edit]I recall Muse had two singles/EPs, one named "Dead Star/In Your World" the other "In Your World/Dead Star". The "Dead Star..." one had the green cover and fireworks, the "In Your World..." had a white cover with a photo of the band in unusual poses.
- Ah, here's a link to the Last.fm page on it: http://www.last.fm/music/Muse/In+Your+World+%252F+Dead+Star
They were released on the same day as double A-sides and I'm sure they count as one in charts (but don't quote me on it). The different versions of it are detailed in the page for Dead Star/In Your World. Likewise, Feeling Good/Hyper Music is similar. Kenny-t 00:26, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Invincible???
[edit]Who posted up "Invinclble" as a future single? It hasn't been confirmed yet, reverting until proof is given. Sharak 20:40, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
Promos
[edit]Just thinking... do we really need a list of promos here? Firstly, the early EPs weren't really promotional releases, they were just EPs. And as for the rest, well every band releases promo CDs, they are the ones that get sent to radio stations, etc. I don't see why this is significant enough to have a full section, complete with pictures. I haven't seen a list of promo releases on any other band's discography. I don't think it's really important to list them all here.. Cloudy 00:11, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
very true; perhaps these could be condensed down into a regular table like the singles? Or a separate page made for them if people are that desparate to keep them. --86.139.22.187 17:43, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
This image, the album cover, will be deleted on or soon after 15 May unless a detailed fair use rationale is produced and entered into the image page by then. See the Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline. --Tony Sidaway 18:11, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
I put it there because the Radiohead discography had it so I thought it'd be fine, but WHATEVER.--punkromance 16:24, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Hot 100
[edit]How could they have 2 singles over 100. The Hot 100 are the hottest [b]100[/b] singles, not 150, or 200.
Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles, which is positions 101-125. AcousticSynth (talk) 02:35, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
Muse B-Sides
[edit]I do not believe that the B-Sides should appear as part of the discography, and should therefore be removed from this article completely. B-Sides are not released (apart from on singles already mentioned) and so should not get a section in a discography-based article. Obviously we need more opinions before deletion occurs or the contrary. Andre666 (talk) 20:44, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
- The Discography article itself says this: "Discography is the study and listing of sound recordings". Do B-sides not count as sound recordings as well? If not in this article, there should at least be another article or something listing all of the B-sides... with as many as Muse has released, it'd be really convenient to have a list of them all in one place. 66.157.151.163 (talk) 02:41, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
- There have been numerous debates over B-sides' place in discography articles, all of which have ended in removing them. The B-sides are already in a list; see List of songs by Muse. Andre666 (talk) 06:47, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Hullabaloo
[edit]I think Hullabaloo (album) counts as a "live album" as it has a live tracks as well as the DVD portion, and I am listing it as such. naerii 16:04, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
- I disagree. I would class a live album as, exclusively, 'an album of live music'. I would class a compilation album as an album which contains songs from past albums and/or different types of songs, i.e. live and studio. Just my opinion though. Andre666 (talk) 18:13, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Modern Rock Charts?
[edit]Shouldn't Muse's placements on the Modern Rock Charts be placed on here? After all, they ARE a pretty big alternative band. --- —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.163.4.17 (talk) 03:39, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
- I will put a Mod Rock column in the singles section soon. Andre666 (talk) 07:52, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
The Studio Album Collection
[edit]I saw on iTunes that this just came out. Is it important to put in here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.200.132.33 (talk) 13:54, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
- Unless an official announcement has been made, or it has significant independent press coverage – which it has not – then no. Andre666 (talk) 08:36, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
Microcuts on Stage album
[edit]There doesn't seem to be any reference to this (bootleg) album. It was released in Thailand. Here's a link: http://www.discogs.com/release/930970 Should it be added? -GeiwTeol 04:24, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
- Nope. Unofficial -- it even says so on the Discogs page. Andre666 (talk) 08:34, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
Only 8 million?!?!?
acoustic album
[edit]i have an album with unplugged versions of a bunch of their songs. you can definately hear it's bellamy, and it's studio recording quality, so it doesn't seem like just a random bootleg. I can't find any info at all on it though. I don't know what wikipedias policy is on linking to copyright infringing material, but you'll find what i'm talking about if you search, say, "soundwatching muse acoustic" on google.
- I'm not even going to search for what is obviously a unofficial, or even fake, bootleg/compilation. Andre666 (talk) 15:30, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
Excessive
[edit]Per WP:DISCOG there should not be more than 10 countries represented in these tables. Consensus should be reached here about which ones to keep. - eo (talk) 23:46, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
- ha you beat me to it! i noticed this yesterday and was gonna start a discussion on it. well to start the ball rolling i suggest just having UK, AUS, FRA, IRE, ITA, NL, NOR, SWI and US. removing the countries where they have only one chart entry. Mister sparky (talk) 00:32, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
- OK so it's been 2 months, this needs to be seriously pruned. I will begin removing countries per suggested by Mister Sparky if no one else has any additional input. - eo (talk) 21:22, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
- Done. Six months later, but done. - eo (talk) 18:27, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
- I just wanted to let know, that per Thunderbolt93's suggestion, I traded NZ chart for ITA, as the albums have charted much higher in Italy. Plus the upcoming live album was recorded in Rome, so I guess we can expect its high sells in Italy. I'm wondering what to do about singles, though – I'm thinking about trading CAN for ITA. — Mayast (talk) 18:55, 2 September 2013 (UTC)

Needs to be trimmed again
[edit]Since being brought down to 10 columns, this discography has expanded again and needs trimming per WP:DISCOG. - eo (talk) 18:18, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
Exogenesis Part 4: Salvation
[edit]Source here: [1]. Should not this be included as well?--RockyMM (talk) 22:29, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
- Apparently it was April 1st joke. The joke is on me. --RockyMM (talk) 22:43, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
Can't Take My Eyes Off You
[edit]Where is "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" song? I could not find? Kumul (talk) 00:49, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
- It is a B-side on the "Dead Star/In Your World" single, which is listed. Andre666 (talk) 09:35, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks. Kumul (talk) 22:15, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
Tokyo Sunburn
[edit]In 2013 Muse did a live concert in Tokyo, it then was released on Vinyl only which is called Tokyo Sunburn. Would this count as a live album?
- Do you have a source? Andre666 (talk) 18:41, 8 April 2014 (UTC)
US Charts
[edit]Hey, yeah could somebody add the US Alternative Songs chart and other US rock charts? I'm not really the best editor, and I have no clue about editing in charts into the column. Storyboutme (talk) 13:15, 12 May 2017 (UTC)
- Charts are limited on discographies to a maximum of 10, so it should not be added on as it stands. It should also not be added in place of a different chart, as it would be less notable on the basis that it is not the country's main record chart (that is the Hot 100). The Dark Side
[edit]I think we should make a page for The Dark Side which is their only single not to have one. Patata mccurdy (talk) 11:00, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
