Closure
[edit]This line is not "closed" as such - the services on the line have just been cut; and there hasn't been any work done that would sever the line from the Main Line, either, as has happened for other lines. The official status is "services suspended". JRG 23:27, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
Correction needed
[edit]In the diagram, the Ballina lines branches off to the left. Tabletop (talk) 01:31, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
- Also, the diagram shows the line branching left when coming from Sydney Downsize43 (talk) 00:13, 9 January 2018 (UTC)
Blacklisting of "The Byron Line" PDF

Gold Coast Motorrail - dubious figures
[edit]"The Gold Coast Motorail took 26,000 reservations at Murwillumbah station alone in its first year of operation and in 1980, that number had increased to a staggering 51,000. The services cost $11.5 million annually to run, but the profit was over $22.5 million - nearly double than what they cost to run."
I have removed this from the body of the article. There are no sources for this claim. --TheArcadian72 (talk) 02:28, 19 August 2021 (UTC)
