"Highly unpopular Korean War"????? This sounds highly POV to me. As a Communist, I have no doubt the Korean War would have been highly "unpopular" with Murray Levin (he wouldn't want to fight his collegues and "fellow travellors") but this makes the war sound "highly unpopular" with the General Public - a pure assertion, and one which is unsupportable IMHO. Interviews I've seen with people about that war, including wives of POWs and other servicemen were alluding to the fact that even at the time the Korean War was largely ignored by the public at large. There were no large scale anti-war demonstrations against Korea (in the US at any rate - a strong Communist Party organised some in places like France); nor have I heard of the sort of "draft dodging" that was associated with Vietnam either. It is one thing to argue that the Korean War wasn't a "popular" one (i.e. the public were fully engaged and committed to it as they were to WWII) but quite another to say it was "unpopular" much less "highly unpopular". If this phrase is meant to show Levin's OWN POV then it should be stated explicitly, otherwise it should be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.83.157.139 (talk) 15:50, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
