Addition of living relatives, etc

[edit]

I fail to see a valid purpose for including the list of living relatives, other than to shame them, perhaps. Doing so violates their privacy, and may add to their personal risk of misplaced reprisal. I believe that the names of relatives which do not constitute the subject's individual lineage should be deleted. If no valid objections are posted, deletion is soon to follow. I regret making this page due to attempts to further sensationalize the event (and now shame an extended family), even while the new page was under construction. I would go further. I fail to see the need to include information about the perpetrator's father, Lorne Leibel, if it does not already appear in the article about the parent. The place for the father's personal information is in the article about him, not this article. Nor should unverified details about his mother, beyond her name, appear in this article. Her marriage to Lorne Leibel is not even mentioned in her husband's article, which is where I expect it should be. Details of other members of the perpetrator's family do not appear to be relevant to the murder and are best not even mentioned if a connection to the murder cannot be demonstrated. If other family members are sufficiently well known to justify their own Wikipedia articles then mention their achievements there, but do not do it here as it is off-topic. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 09:02, 14 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
