Is there any possible way photos of the main subjects could be included in this article? I know it's a stretch, given (1) how recent the material is, and (2) how many of the available photos of Billy Jack Gaither look like personal/family photos.
I may not be 100% right about this, but I've also heard that Alabama Department of Corrections mugshots are not public property/available for free use like most other states' mugshots, so it might be hard to use those of Steven Mullins and Charles Butler even if they're relatively easy to find (especially Charles Butler, who you can still find on the Alabama DOC website as he is still alive). I've also seen a few similar articles using personal photos (like Murder of Gordon Church using his high school graduation photo), but I don't know the status of photos like that, and I still don't 100% understand fair use for newer photos on Wikipedia, so I don't like to personally add photos myself unless I'm 100% sure about them.
I'll mention a user who helped me include a photo in a prior article a few months ago - @Inexpiable
@Afddiary: I've added the photo of Gaither from the al.com article. Alabama Department of Corrections mugshots are not public property so they cannot be added. Thanks for creating yet another great article. Regards. Inexpiable (talk) 14:49, 27 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
