This article critically fails Good Article criterion 2b. A number of potentially contentious statements in the article are tagged as needing citation, and the entire article should be cited at a minimum at the paragraph level. Because of this, I have not done a detailed read of the article. If the (seemingly drive-by) nominator wants more detailed feedback, the article should be submitted for peer review.

I note in passing that, although whole books have been written about these events, there are many references to what are essentially modern news sources engaged in retrospectives. I strongly suggest that higher quality sources be used to improve the citation level in the article, and that books linked via Google Books be more completely referenced (i.e. provide author and publication info, including ISBN, possibly using {{cite book}}).
