"Ownership" of the article
[edit]DStehr, in regards to this edit summary, please keep in mind that you do not own this or any other article. While your work on the page is appreciated, Wikipedia is a collaborative project and anyone may update, correct or otherwise edit the page. Thanks. - SummerPhD (talk) 04:39, 5 December 2014 (UTC)
NPOV
[edit]Wikipedia strives for a neutral point of view. Recent changes by the subject of this article do not meet this goal. In the introductory paragraph alone, we are told of "well-received collaborations", "a strong voice", "a superb ear for melody", "strong impact", "multi-platinum success" and an "international smash hit".
Additionally, material on Wikipedia must be verifiable. Much of the material does not cite independent reliable sources.
For the moment, I have restored the previous version, pending discussion of specific issue on the page. If you have a connection to the subject of this article, please read the plain and simple conflict of interest guide for a straight forward guide to our policies and procedures in such a case. Thank you. - SummerPhD (talk) 00:27, 6 December 2014 (UTC)
- I have removed some unsourced information. The conflicted editor has been on my talk page a bit, pretty much saying that some of the stuff in this article is wrong and the whole thing should be replaced with their version.[1] I have repeatedly asked them to explain what specifically is wrong on this page. Nothing yet. - SummerPhD (talk) 02:56, 6 December 2014 (UTC)
- This version is obviously unacceptable per WP:NPOV, as it reads like a press release put out by the subject or his label. --NeilN talk to me 05:34, 8 December 2014 (UTC)
