Could you give me the sources for this info about the agency they work for?
[edit]I've read both books four or five times and did most of the text for the article. But I can't, in a quick scan of my copy, find the info that you give in your latest edit:
Both Calder and Behrens did classified work during World War II, then in the late-1950s went to work for a Mr. Fortescue at the Joint Services Standing Intelligence Committee (External Branch), more often known as JSSIC(E). In one story, the Prime Minister recalls his predecessor telling him that 'E' Branch takes on the jobs "so disreputable" that no other agency will handle them.
This is obscure enough that I think it deserves a citation or ref. or whatnot. Thanks! Hayford Peirce (talk) 21:54, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
- I've found it -- on page 41 of my first edition (American), in "The Spoilers". I'll stick it in when I have the energy. Hayford Peirce (talk) 22:30, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
