Summary deletions and wholesale revisions by User:ViperSnake151
User:ViperSnake151: Please stop the wholesale deletions and revisions of content by others without prior discussion, as I have repeatedly asked, only to have you delete my messages without response. Otherwise I will pursue further recourse. Thank you. -John Navas (talk) 01:43, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
Content dispute
The content added to Criticism is disputed. It is already discussed using neutral language and proper explanation on the History section. The editor is also asserting OWNership (see above, added at exact same time) by objecting to any attempt to remove or refactor it. ViperSnake151 Talk 01:43, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
- That statement is false and misleading, pot calling the kettle black.
See my complaint above, and the page History.
-John Navas (talk) 01:48, 17 August 2017 (UTC)- It wasn't there when I started typing it, and it only appeared after I hit Save, so we were clearly writing things at the same time. Plus, what about this is "false and misleading"? This is exactly what we were doing. ViperSnake151 Talk 01:50, 17 August 2017 (UTC)

Page Formatting
Is it normal to have a first paragraph this long on a page? I'm thinking reorganizing the information may be beneficial for the reader. I'll see what I can do on my end. PubHobbyst (talk) 14:58, 18 August 2021 (UTC)
Scam
I recently made this edit.
Before I made my edit, the article started out with:
- MoviePass, Inc. is an American subscription-based movie ticketing service
After I made my edit, the article started out with:
- MoviePass, Inc. is a scam masquerading as an American subscription-based movie ticketing service
This is the source that I cited. It uses variations of the word "scam" multiple times:

User:Aoi reverted my edit, and commented:
But variations of the word "scam" are used multiple times in the source, so it's not a violation of NPOV.
What do others think of this?

- There are several issues with this edit, including:
- The lead of the article should summarize the article body. The word "scam" is not used anywhere else in the article, and this cannot be overridden by citing a single source in the article lead. Moreover, the lead must appropriately weigh the viewpoints that have been published by reliable sources. To start off the article with "MoviePass is a scam" would require the vast majority of high quality sources to describe it expressly as such.
- Starting off an article with "MoviePass, Inc. is a scam masquerading as an American subscription-based movie ticketing service" is a completely inappropriate tone for an encyclopedia article. See WP:IMPARTIAL. Aoi (青い) (talk) 05:08, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
