[edit]This article is pretty starry eyed. Almost reads like a custom crafted PR piece. Sukiari 08:28, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Why is this article part of Wikiproject Southern California? The pages on Southern California and Northern California would seem to include Richmond, California in norcal. Ghharr 17:30, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Mountain Hardwear logo.jpg
[edit]Image:Mountain Hardwear logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

notability
[edit]This article was deleted May 2008 for lack of notability. It was contested on the deleting administrator's talk page with:
- This is a legitimate clothing and outdoor equipment brand/maufacturer, and should be available on Wikipedia. Thank you very much. [[1]] --Antares48 (talk) 18:53, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
To prevent the article being deleted again, the following aspects should be fixed:
- It must assert notability. See Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies).
- It must not rely on the organization's own website as the sole source.
- It must not cite a blog (per WP:RS), particularly one run by the organization (see WP:V#SELF).
- The History of Innovation in particular needs substantial reliable sources justifying that these were "innovative" firsts.
If these items are fixed, I think the article ought to stay. In its present form, it deserves deletion. —EncMstr (talk) 19:23, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Why Redirct from Mountain Hardware?
[edit]Mountain Hard"ware" was a mountainview,CA company that makes a peripheral-cards for Apple II computers. I think Mountain hard"wear" is apparel company. Please never redirect from Mountain Hard"ware". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.0.181.200 (talk) 02:21, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
- Because the peripheral card manufacturer does not appear to meet the criteria for notability, however the spelling is a plausible misspelling for the clothing manufacturer. --Terrillja talk 02:31, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
