Harder-weathering cap?

If a resistant, harder-weathering cap of volcanic origin has protected the underlying sedimentary layers from erosion in this place, creating the mesa-like formation, that should be mentioned.--Wetman (talk) 00:47, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
