There was a big forest fire, around the same time as the Barriere and Okanagan Mountain Fires, named for this mountain several years back, just noting it here, and will refer to it on the other fire-article talkpages for possible creation. Not my thing.Skookum1 (talk) 21:00, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
fire lookout
[edit]I know there's an old fire lookout tower on Mount Lolo, and you can see it on the satellite map; I'm not sure if it's still functioning as a forestry facility, due to sat--imaging having largely taken over fire-watch duties. But I think it may now be an observatory....the better known one in the Interior is down by Oliver, attached to UBC I think, but I think this one may be a smaller one; there is in any case a good road to the summit of this mountain, but I don't know enough about its usage and route to add it to the article.Skookum1 (talk) 01:52, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
