Replica bridge
[edit]Which side is the replica - up or downstream. It would help the pictures, which are taken from opposite sides. Motmit (talk) 11:33, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
- The original is on the downstream side and has stone quoins. The later bridge is on the upstream side and is has plain unrubbed brick quoins, which therefore have a serrated appearance. The two parallel bridges are therefore quite different in appearance, though the arches have the same span and the same skew. MegaPedant (talk) 01:30, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
