'The Tall One' and another anonymous user has recently done some good work on this page, but can I draw your attention please to several pages that overlap significantly with this page, some of which already have reasonably polished content?

I did a fair bit of work on the following pages this week, but i have no idea how they should best fit together to minimise duplication. Motivational Theory, intrinsic motivation,Goal Theory, motivation, educational psychology.

I think, taken as a group, these pages need a co-ordinated edit maybe as a project or something. And I think combining the content of motivation theories and Motivational Theory and re-directing one to the other would be a good start, yes?

The whole area of 'motivation' needs help in wikipedia - I was a bit shocked to find it in the state it was in! Good fortune! Mercurius 03:24, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

I agree, but Motivational Theory and motivation theories should be merged into motivation. Because this is such a vast area of psychology, the specific theories of motivation (goal theory etc) should continue to have separate articles. Nesbit 15:52, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

User:84.66.200.130 Although it may sound like I'm taking credit for someone else's work, but this was my IP address - if you compare it, IP:8... belong to British users and I too am British. It also appears that I edited the motivation theories article the following day. It was just that I was not logged in at the time (remember technical problems have occured...) Now I have logged in under my IP Address - hopefully it is the same. 84.66.74.253 17:00, 23 February 2006 (UTC) a.k.a. TheTallOne. Just did a check and found that it changes...oh well. Hopefully the proof of an immediate login is enough.[reply]
