Please remember:

"If you create an autobiography, you must have no promotional intent and must be willing to accept it being neutralized if it is not neutral... Our neutral point of view policy is absolute and non-negotiable, and all encyclopedic topics are fair game for Wikipedia." - See: WP:LIVE

As it currently stands, this article appears very promotional, with screeds of primary sources, but little indication that these have received widespread notice, or had any impact. Everything here has been added from IPs - rather than known Wikipedia editors. Please read WP:POTENTIALCOI if that applies. Snori (talk) 04:31, 7 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.15.21.214 (talk) 12:36, 6 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, some of the editing is by a registered editor. The article is still full of spam. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.15.21.214 (talk) 12:22, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Here is a list of WP:SPAs and Google-owned IPs (where Yung works) that collectively account for almost the entirety of the content of this article:

I don't know if Dr. Yung started this page or not. But I do know he is very influential in cryptography. Google Scholar shows over 30,000 citations of his work https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=ScL8iFQAAAAJ&hl=en&oi=ao That is pretty clear indication of strong influence in the field. In fact he is the 16th most cited cryptographer in the world, according to Google scholar — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:6000:1526:4538:6854:9F17:2F93:B5E6 (talk) 16:03, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dear anonymous IP, know that there is no issue with Yung’s accomplishments or notability. The issue is that editors have restrictions on editing articles with which they have conflicts of interest. There is a checklist of what one should do in such situations. — MarkH21 (talk) 06:18, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Resume-like

[edit]

This article is incredibly resume-like. It lists almost every project that Yung has ever worked on, extensively describes each project's background, and links to numerous company blogs describing the projects. I have just removed a lot of content listing his participation in projects, giving background scientific information around each of his projects, and attempted to summarize some key points about his contributions. Otherwise this is article is just a resume tracking his life much more closely than it should. — MarkH21 (talk) 16:33, 7 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Note that the article also needs secondary sources, as almost the entirety of the content is sourced from Yung's research articles and not external commentaries of his work. — MarkH21 (talk) 16:55, 7 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
