Unclear what Battalion took part here

Hi, this article indicates that Mosby's raid took place in March 1863. If I understand correctly, Mosby's 43rd Virginia Cavalry Battalion was not organized until June of that year. If these were Mosby's "raiders", what company were they operating under? He was granted a command in January that year, so it is unclear who exactly took part in this raid?
