Inspiration

It doesn't seem possible that his first wife was the inspiration for morticia. He started drawing her in 1938 and didn't meet his first wife until 1942. More likely, Morticia was simply his "type" and not based on any specific person. I know there are 'references' to this supposed fact, but dig into them and there's nothing there. I think the first wife speculation should be removed from the wiki. Hmmm... is the term "matriarch" really the best descriptor here, since there is an older female of the extended family (Grandmama) living in the household? I can't really think of a better word offhand, but maybe someone else can... ? Hierophany (talk) 20:53, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

Character makeup

Is there a source for the "baking powder" line? It doesn't fit in with the rest of the article, and I don't want to integrate it better without a source. Alternator 08:50, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Extended family
