Start to NFL career
[edit]An anon user has deleted this intro text of the NFL career section a couple of times, with no edit summary: "Despite a rocky start with the Saints (he sprained his ankle on his first-ever kickoff and missed two months of the season)..."
Andersen was definitely out for most of his first year, but I can't verify the exact facts (i.e., the ankle sprain on the first kickoff) as stated here. Since no change comments were submitted, I am not sure if the anon author's intent is to correct historical inaccuracy, declutter the article, or scrub Andersen's history.
My own preference is to leave the text in there as it adds color to his career. The facts should be verified, however. Thoughts? Sprkee 17:06, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
- The sentence in question is written in an unencyclopedic tone. I would suggest editing it to be less colloquial. (I am not the user who deleted this sentence previously) 128.61.47.34 (talk) 00:18, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
Fox Sports/ESPN?
[edit]This edit, by an anon, switches the attribution of a report of Andersen's return from Fox Sports (a specific page) to ESPN (just espn.com). Was this legitimate? (Here's the Fox Sports story; contrary to the date on that page, that story was added to the article on Sept. 19.) --zenohockey 19:58, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Retired
[edit]He has officially retired today (December 8, 2008), but I cannot find a good English-languaged source (only Danish) except this one: http://blog.nola.com/saintsbeat/2008/12/morten_andersen_remembers_lean.html
Please replace first reference with a better link when found - and correct the language throughout the article if necessary.
Incorrect Statistics
[edit]This page shares a defect that many articles of this time (Summer 2017) have: Morten does not hold the Falcon's franchise records anymore. Matt Bryant holds the Falcons records now.
Points: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/atl/career-scoring.htm Bryant leads with 86 more points for Falcons in 12 less games
FGM/XPM: Matt Bryant has made more field goals, has missed less field goals, made more extra points, and missed less extra points. And the final volume stat of FGA will be broken in the first few weeks of the upcoming season, but I don't think anyone judges based on FGA, more like FGM and FG%.
He now only holds Saints franchise records exclusively. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.17.115.47 (talk) 14:49, 6 August 2017 (UTC)
