Two pages and inconsistency
[edit]There are two pages on this railway line and they could be condensed into one. Also the two line maps seem to disagree on whether RMSP 16 was before or after the current Mornington terminus. 4rkange1 (talk) 01:08, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
- These are separate items, one is a tourist company the other is a former train line. A similar thing has been done with other tourist railways in Victoria:
- Mornington Railway tourist company runs on the former Mornington railway line - line has separate page
- Bellarine Railway (narrow gauge) tourist company runs on the former broad gauge Queenscliff railway line, Victoria - has been merged
- Daylesford Spa Country Railway tourist company runs on the former Daylesford railway line - has been merged
- Puffing Billy Railway tourist company runs on the former Gembrook railway line - line doesn't have page
- Victorian Goldfields Railway tourist company runs on the former Shelbourne railway line - line has separate page
- Walhalla Goldfields Railway tourist company runs on the former Walhalla railway line - line has separate page
- Yarra Valley Railway tourist company runs on the former Healesville railway line - line has separate page

- As for the "exact" location of Rail Motor Stopping Place 16, it was a kind of unofficial location on the line where potential travelers could flag down the passing train. They were official in that Stopping Places were listed on train timetables as a guide for when a train passing that location, but unofficial as there was no exact address for them. In this particular case, RMSP 16 was located at 38.5 mi (61.96 km) to the nearest quarter mile, in this same location is the new tourist station named Mornington. Due to the poor accuracy of the reporting of locations by the Victorian Railways, we may never know whether it was before, after, or on the same location as Mornington (tourist). `-- ThylacineHunter (talk) 07:32, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
