I failed this last time for a lack of activity, but I'll be happy to review it once more. ceranthor 21:41, 6 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • "Haze Morgan, another Morgan descendant and the commission's chairperson, Blanche M. Pickering (Mrs. A. A. Pickering) of Rowlesburg, and West Virginia State Senator Harry P. Henshaw of Bunker Hill" - this makes it unclear who you're referring to with "another morgan descendant and the commission's chairperson" - maybe semicolons would help to differentiate between descriptors and the list itself?
  • "In 1681 Bennet sold his share to Lord Colepeper, and Lord Colepeper received a new charter for the entire land grant from James II, King of England, in 1688.[21][26][27]" - no need for repeating Lord Colepeper - just replaced with "who"
  • "Governor Morgan appointed the committee, which consisted of Haze Morgan, another direct descendant of Morgan and the commission's chairperson, Blanche M. Pickering (Mrs. A. A. Pickering) of Rowlesburg, and West Virginia State Senator Harry P. Henshaw of Bunker Hill.[40][43] " - same note as first one; just for clarity
  • Your reference format is inconsistent for page numbers: ref 25 uses " William and Mary Quarterly 1898, pp. 222–223.", while ref 28 uses " William and Mary Quarterly 1898, pp. 224–6.".
  • What makes the historical marker database a reliable source?

Otherwise, this is in great shape. ceranthor 23:12, 6 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Ceranthor, thank you for taking the time to engage in this GAR. I cited the Historical Marker Database (HMdb) because it is a peer-reviewed database of markers across the U.S. where users can submit photographs, coordinates, and transcriptions of monuments, and then those submissions are peer-reviewed by the database's editors. The editors are listed on its about page. I also cited HMdb because it provides a transcription of the monument's text, and I was unable to find another website that listed this transcription. Let me know your thoughts on this. If you'd rather I not cite HMdb, do you have any suggestions for how to cite the monument's text? Thanks again for your thoughtful review! -- West Virginian (talk) 01:14, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
