Incorrect Pluralisation: Soros Foundations
[edit]The quote in the NYTs source article says,
More Perfect Union, a video-centric outlet that has a staff of 24 and backing from George Soros’s Open Society Foundation, among other donors, does not take money from labor unions, Mr. Shakir said.
Yet the passage in the Wiki article pluralises "Soros Foundations" and "Open Society Foundations":
More Perfect Union says it receives funding from various donors and Soros foundations, including Open Society Foundations, but does not take money from labor unions or corporations.
While the organisation name Open Society Foundations is itself plural -- the NYTs has erroneously made it singular -- it is not multiple organisations; therefore "Soros foundations" should not be plural without substantiating the claim that other foundations of his are involved in funding More Perfect Union. There is also no mention of "corporations" in the source quote.
I'll be submitting a change to:
More Perfect Union says it receives funding from various donors, including George Soros' Open Society Foundations, but does not take money from labor unions.
I will also note, for future editors, that the inclusion of George Soros' name here may be politically charged. But it is included in the original quote so I leave it to others more familiar with Wikipedia's editorial standards to make that determination.
